Not MY monster

Here's a project I recently did I thought I'd share. This past month as Morgan's cheer team has been spending more time getting ready for their first competition, tensions are beginning to flare. Morgan's coach has two sons, I think she is getting a crash course in dealing with pre-teen girls. And lucky her-she gets 18 girls 8+ hours a week. God bless her.

So using this project I did last year, I created a little gift for her.




I included a gift card to Starbucks and in between the candy is a bottle of aspirin. Her coach gets paid a very minimal stipend and I think really appreciated the thought and the humor.

Rainbow Day

I LOVED this idea from the It Is What It Is blog. I immediately bookmarked it. Jack's school doesn't really celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but last week they did have rainbow day and this was just perfect for the occasion.
The pictures above are the ones Morgan made for her friends yesterday, but for Jack's class I decided to modify it a bit. It just seemed like a lot of candy for a three year olds so I cut the licorice and half and only put in one large chocolate gold coin. I think my chocolate gold coins are bigger than the original ones, so it worked fine. Anyway, they were easy to find the supplies and assemble and were definitely the hit of the day.

Her teacher's waistline may be expanding, but she's pregnant so don't blame it on me!

These are cakepops. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of them unwrapped because I forgot this morning and I was working too late in the evening. Don't let the short list of ingredients fool you, you need a good chunk of time and patience. But let me just say these will be gobbled down fast!!
