Pick of the Patch
been hearing that for years. But when we arrived in the late afternoon, it was a
zoo. We stayed long enough to grab a few pumpkins, take a few pictures and then leave. Which I'm not sure if you can tell by Garrett's expression, could not happen soon enough.
Sports update: Garrett's team is currently in second place. If they win the rest of their league games, they'll hold that spot, if they lose then they are going to need some help to maintain second. This weekend they played in Livermore's Headless Horseman Soccer Tournament and let's just say it was pretty scarey. They were grouped with Under 14 Division 1 (they are Under 13 Div. 3) players. They managed to win one game, but the games were very physical and they were clearly out matched. Garrett is currently icing his ankle :-(.

Floor /BarRoutine
Morgan's floor routine from this past weekend. I think it scored an 8.25. I think you have to view the blog to see the video. And the bar routine scored 8.1. All the girls' bar routines scored much lower than usual this weekend so I guess we had some tough judges. I messed up on the beam, so hopefully I'll post that the next time she competes.

2 Games, 1 Meet & and Pirate
Garrett had 2 games this weekend. One on Saturday morning against their rival Pleasanton team. Last year, this team lost to them 0-6. This year, we scored the first goal. They tied it up after the half and it looked like it was going to be a tie. With 30 seconds left, they scored a goal and we lost :-(. A really tough lost. But they made up for it with a win on Sunday's game 1-0. Garrett is really playing well. He plays most of the game and the coach puts him wherever a gap needs to be filled.
Morgan had her best meet this weekend. All of her scores were over 8.0 which is a first for the season. In fact, her two lowest scores have been on floor and vault and she got medals on those two events. Her all around score was 32.450. She messed up on her dismount on the beam, otherwise it would have been over 33. She started the season at 30 so that's a lot of progress. One meet left for the season.
