Trying out a new slideshow software. Well, not exactly new, but haven't really played with it yet. Let me know what you think. (Edited to add-darn, could not get the file to upload so had to go through one true media-sigh, I'll have to try again).

Sneak Peek....
11 months pictures taken today. I'll make sure I send them out soon. I should preface this by saying that we had these done at the Picture People. They always have done a good job. But Jack is not exactly at a great portrait stage. Our sitting was set him in the middle of the floor, stand up, walk away, repeat! So I can't believe she got one shot let alone this many!

Summer's coming to an end, just 9 more days till school starts. Tomorrow I register Morgan for school and then do the same for Garrett on Tuesday. Here's a peek at what kept everybody this last week.
Morgan attended an animal camp run by the SPCA in Dublin. It's a beautiful new facility and Morgan got to interact with many of the animals and even observed a cat being neutered. That experience seemed to sway her that she does not want to be a vetrinarian when she grows up. But she did have fun. Here's a couple pictures.

Garrett attended soccer camp with his team this week. He went Monday through Thursday from 9-11:30 and then Thursday night as well. And then he had a soccer tournament in Santa Clara on Saturday and Sunday. That's a whole lot of soccer. They ended the tournament 2 and 2, played some really good games. A big improvement over his team from last year. Notice the arm band he's wearing. He was voted as one of the three captains this year by his teammates. A really great honor especially considering he is new the team.
And Jack was busy this week as well, well sort of. First off, in the last 2 weeks he has gotten 5 more teeth, that makes 7 total. His walking is getting better and better and he likes discovering new rooms in the house. Here he is at Gymboree. We've been going once a week since he's been six months old.

Milestone Alert
On Sunday, Jack crawled one time and since then, it's been all walking. Chris is amazed at how quickly the walking progressed. He has no problem standing up on his own and today he was picking up Garrett's soccer ball and was walking around with it.
Garrett's soccer team once again placed 3rd this weekend in a soccer tournament. If you're keeping track, that's 2 tournaments and two trophies. Think we're going to need a trophy room by the time the season is over!
Happy Birthday Nana!

Thanks Jenifer
Over 500 steps to the bottom of Moaning Caverns. Chris, Jack and Morgan made it down about 1/3 of the way before deciding this was not an adventure they wanted to continue. Garrett and I went all the way down (and UP!) and thought it was really cool. The guide even cut the lights. I don't think I've ever been anwywhere as dark before.
Jack is not an adventurous eater, but did decide to try out a pickle. It was a good photo op at the very least.
Spent a day at Columbia State Park and did some gold mining. This is something Morgan will be learning about as part of the 4th grade curriculum. The found gold flecks and garnet chips. It's a very addicting hobby, I can see why so many people decided to head to California for the Gold Rush.
Had to get a least one picture of a frog!
Gotten a little behind saying thanks to Jenifer for letting us use your time share in Angels Camp. It was a really nice condo and we all had fun. And we got lucky that the heat wave broke just as we arrived. Well you all know that Morgan and I went on the zip line. The "big" boys also enjoyed a round of golf while we were there. Here's a few more highlights of the trip.

And They're Off...
So that's what they say at the races. How about the start of a very busy soccer season? This weekend Garrett had his first soccer tournament for BUSC. They finished the tournament with 2 wins, 1 tie and 1 loss and ended up with a trophy for 3rd. And if you did the math correctly you'd see that was 4 games. Yes, 4 games at 3 different fields in San Jose over the course of 2 days. That's a whole lot of soccer. And Jack attended 3 of them and did fabulous (even in the midst of major teething). Garrett has tournaments the next 3 weekends as well. Can you say bye-bye relaxing weekends?
